Notes Client Application: 6.5.4Server: 6.5.5FP2 on Windows/2003 5.2 Intel
I have an application I developed for a client with a strange behavior. Occasionally, usually after a design refresh or change, “Computed when composed” fields lose their values on an apparently random document. This usually is visible when the document goes from read mode into edit mode. There is some code that fires off on this event, but nothing that changes item values. And there are some hide-when formulas based on the document’s read and edit modes.
The field values are lost even if you don’t save the document. There is no code that saves the document automatically and if you close the document without saving, the field values are still gone. So they’re there at first, but then switch to edit mode and they vanish. Restore the document from another copy and repeat the process and nothing goes wrong. I cannot reproduce the issue no matter how much I try, but can only catch it when it happens.
I’m kind of at my whits end with this one. Perhaps after the American 4th of July holiday I’ll have better luck!
Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, what was your issue and resolution?
Thanks in advance.
