Computed Section Problem

Hi all

I have a computed controlled access section on a form that just won’t work.

Basically all I am trying to do is check the status of the form, if it has a status of 1 select a person, otherwise select a different person.

@if(status = 1; tmpUser1; tempUser2)

when tmpUser1 opens the form and the status is 1, tmpUser1 cannot edit the section, if they double click and refresh she can see her name in ‘who may edit this section’ dialog box but they still cannot edit the section. I have searched the formum, checked the names are in canonical format etc. Can’t think of anything else, can someone help???

thanks

Sarah

I’m not sure what you mean by “double click and refresh”; are you saying that the user puts the document into edit mode?

Is that your exact formula? What about this tmpUser1? What type of field is that and what is its formula?

My best guess is that the section editor formula is returning multiple values in a delimited string instead of a true list.

Thanks Andre

The 2 fields are computed names fields and each returns only one name at a time.

when the document is closed the status is set to either 1 or 2. I am confused why the computed section won’t work.

The formula is

@if(status =1; tmpUser1; tmpUser2)

any ideas?
