Hello,
is it possible in any way, to combimine Forms and Text when printing in a browser with a LS-agent? For example, to create two Forms in a database, call the first one, than print text and then print the second form. Of cause, it is possible with a frameset, but i want do it without it…
Thanks!
Bernd

By this you mean that you want to ouput to the printer some text from your agent and then output a document that you’ve created? What is the goal here? Can you tell us more about what you hope to accomplish? It IS possible to create a document with an agent which uses a particular form and then to open that document with the print form from the agent (which will send it to the printer). Is this close to what you’re trying to do?

For example: To optimize the fulltextsearch in the web i have written an agent whitch prints a table of results. Now i have a form with my default-design of my page. In this form are many computed fields, subforms… and all the things else. In one of the tables in the form i will have the resultlist, that i print out of the agent. Bit there is no way to fill the table with an agent. My idea is as explained below: Print a Form (or Subform) until the table, then print the result-list and than print the second form, that have all content from the end of the table to the end of the page.
Does anyone have an idea for this?

When I’ve seen anything similar, it was done by doing what I mentioned in my earlier post, and writing the results to a table in an rtf field on a document, saving the document when all of the data is complete, then opening the document in the browser at the end of the agent to view the data. A scheduled agent later deletes these “temporary” documents. This was an old application for a company I worked for.
Now, I wonder, might this not be useful as an AJAX application, in which you call the agent asynchronously, build your html for the links, and then write it back to the rtf field in the document that you are on, save it, and update the screen with this info. I haven’t tried this with an rtf field, but it works fine with writing data to text fields. This would avoid the temp document creation, but it comes down to what your needs are.
