Client crashes with a particular mail

Hello

I have seen more posts related to this error, but I haven’t seen any solution. We have an user who has received one mail that causes his client to crash. If I copy this mail in any mail database, the client which tries to open this mail, crashes also. Database has been checked, compacted … And the problem is repeated on any database where it is copied. However it can be opened with the explorer (without the lotus client). Have you got any idea? I don’t see any weird attribute on the mail …

Any chance this is an HTML email? If so, try the following and see if the problem is resolved.1. Open your Location document and change it to edit mode.

  1. Change to the Internet Browser tab.

  2. Change selection to ‘Notes with Internet Explorer’.

  3. Save and exit.

Now, try opening the email.

DO you have the FATAL THREAD section of the NSD file?

IS their any attachment in the mial? Any special object?

Look on the forum faq (Under NSD section) for a few links about troubleshooting Notes crash.
