We’ve recently upgraded two of our Domino servers from 6.5.4 to 8.5.0.
We are having difficulties with the full-text index and chronos tasks running on both servers. Sometimes the view index tasks will end up having the same problem.
The problem is that the tasks get stuck on a database/application and will not move on to another database - regardless of how long you leave it.
Telling the tasks to quit does not free up these tasks. The servers (machine) have to be rebooted.
Manually clearing the Full-text indexes (via db properties) does not always resolve these problems. Nor deleting the folders via windows’ file-manager.
Rebooting the servers everytime the tasks are stuck is not a suitable option - there are hundreds of databases/applications.
Has anyone come across this problem before and have a solution/workaround?
