I noticed that if I am scheduling a meeting, and allocate a conference room resource, then click “Click to see invitee, resource, and room availability” then under “Scheduled Rooms” I double-click on the conference room, Notes appears to open the resource and reservation database and show me all meetings scheduled for all people for that day, along with meeting description. Someone has raised this as a privacy issue that notes shows you all meetings along with description. Is it working as designed? Is there anyway to modify this behavior so it doesn’t show you descriptions?

Yep, all you’re (they’re) doing is opening up the R&R db which should have Author access as the default. They can see the meetings but only edit their own.
