Checkbox

I have a checkbox, and I am revealing certain fields depending on their corresponding values in this checkbox. It works fine if a single value is checked, the corresponding fields are revealed, but if more than one value is checked, then none are revealed. How do I fix that??

my code in Hidden if true is

Hazards != “Biologicals”

What I’ve done in the past is to create a hidden field and use it as a flag. Depending on the number and combination of values selected in the checkbox, set the flag to a number. Set the hide when’s for the other fields to the corresponding number and you should be good to go.

For instance if the user checks Biologicals, set the flag field to 1, if they select Chemical, set the flag to 2, if the select Physical, set the flag to three if they select Biologicals and Chemicals set the flag to “12”, if the select Chemicals and Physical set the flag to “23”, etc. etc.

Then set your Chemical’s hide when to “Hidden if True” @Contains(;“2”).

Something in there should work, I kinda rambled a little. Good luck,

Hi WEs!

How do you check more than 1 check box in the above example

make sure you have Refresh Fields on Keyword Change enabled on the form properties. Also, if you have mulitple choices and you’re hiding fields based on those choices then you may have an issue with your Hide/When formula(s) on the other fields. They can’t all have the same hide/when formula of they would all show/hide at the same time so Hazards != “Biologicals” cannot be the only formula you have.

They dont all have the same formula, I only posted one formula. That checkbox has about 5 different values, so 5 different groups of fields have unique formulae.
