I am copying text from a MS Word document to a web form. When I view the doc, all the quote " marks are changed to ? marks.
eg:
In MS Word: This is from “Word” application
On doc: This is from ?Word? application
However, if we create the doc on the Notes client and paste the text, everything is ok. Problem only happens when pasting onto web form.

I found this on the net - when you edit in MS Word, ordinary charcaters like quotes etc are constantly being changed to make them look good for printing. For example, if you type in ‘single quotes’ then MS Word will make turn the first one an opening quote and the second one a closing quote so that they look cool on printing.
Of course these characters are not part of the standard character set. So when you paste into a web field and save, these characters cannot be found by the system and are replaced by question marks (?). This not just a problem with web forms used by Domino; it happens on all web input forms used on the net (eg: Wordpress, Joomla etc). This problem does not occur if you paste the text directly onto a form in Notes client.
Solution is to copy the text from MS Word and paste into Notepad, copy from Notepad and paste into web form.
