Change tabbed table captions (labels) in client (with JavaScript)

Is there a way to change tabbed table captions in the Notes client (not on web)- using e.g. client side JavaScript?

Recently I found on this forum that regular ‘gray’ button label’s text can be changed using JavaScript. All that’s needed is one line of JS code that can be placed on forms OnLoad event - for Client:

document.forms[0].elements[‘ButtonHTMLName’].value = ‘New Label’

As tabbed tables/rows also have HTML name - can they be manipulated with JavaScript the same way as in the above example. How to get the handle to it ?

Unfortunately no. The client object model really only gives you useful access to the document.form[0].elements collection (that is, all fields and buttons), the documant.images collection (you can swap image resources, but cannot resize the image), and window.location. There may be things you can do with document.layers, but since that’s NS4 stuff that’ll never see life on the web, I’ve never actually tried. The rest of the document, though, is immutable.
