Hi,
Not sure if this has been reported already in this forum, sorry if I’m duplicating - please tell me, if I am !!
OK, R6.01 client on WinXP. A number of location documents, all with ID files set in the Advanced tab. You are using one location, fine. You switch to another location, and it prompts you for the password for the CURRENT ID file, not the one it is switching to. But you enter the password for the NEW ID file, and it’s correct.
I know it’s only a minor Bug, Lotus, but thought you might want to know.
To recap - the prompt text in the dialog box is the only bit that’s wrong.
Cheers all

Hm… I tried to reproduce with no luck… Same setup, WinXPPro, and 6.0.1, and I get the ‘name’ of the new ID in the password prompt.

It’s working perfectly for me - prompt text is correct on all changes. Running exactly the same setup - 6.0.1 on XP

I’ve never had it work even in r5.It shows the name of the current id when prompting for the passsword to a new id.
It also dosen’t ask about sending mail until after the id has been changed. it can’t send the mail from a different id.

I’m having exactly the same problem. The switching to the new id is actually performed. So the bug seems to be that the text in the password dialog box shows not the name of the id you are switching to, but the name of the id you are switching from. But, the password to enter should be the one used in the id you are switching to. Quite confusing until you get the idea.
Since I’m working as a consultant for several customers, I’ve been using this feature a lot since R4 (cant remember if it was there in R3). Haven’t tested this bug in any other environment than XP professional and ND6.01.
Giving the locations very distinctive names and avoiding looking at the switch user id dialog box helps a bit:-)
