We are changing our Domino server’s name from ABC/123 to ABC/987. All user names will also be changed from /123 to /987. For example, from Jane/123 to Jane/987. In view of this, we have to update all reader and author fields to reflect this change in order to allow the users to continue viewing the documents they previously could without setting Default ACL ofo the applications to Author or Editor. Besides data patching which is very time consuming, (we have more than 10 applications running), what other ways can we use to do this.? Thanks in advance.

Once the Organization names changes, ask your Domino adminstator to run the AdminP process. This will change the old value with the new value in Authors and Readers fields in all the application.
At ACL of the DB, in Advanced tab, in Action select Modify all Readers and Authors field.
