Change ACL in Local Database

I saved a database (.nsf) onto my laptop when I finished my job. I downloaded Lotus notes 7 and subsequently tried to open the database. It opened but only displayed my meeting email details. This maybe an ACL issue I think as when I goto Database > Access Control it says “You have insufficient Privilege to observe user access for this database”.

They are my own emails though and I should be able to see them. I cannot get a new copy of the database either. Is there tools I can use to see the emails? I tried opening the file in notepad but it crashes because it is 101mb.

Could I open it in outlook or somehow bypass ACL. I tried to do a copy without ACL selected but they have issues opening this because it says I need to replicate?

Any help greatly appreciated. Am desperate

Subject: Change ACL in Local Database

I assume that you replicated the DB to your local DB and it probably had Enforce Local ACL set. Now I assume you are accessing the DB with a different ID and that will not work. What you needed to do was File/New Copy and tell it not to copy the ACL. This makes the DB wide open. At this point I think you are out of luck unless you can get a copy of your original ID and access the DB with it.
