Centered text end </div> does not end if pass-thru HTML is on next line

I dont know if this is a bug, but it doesn’t seem right to me. If I put regular text on a blank form and center it, and then on the very next line put some text that is pass-thru HTML but NOT centered, when output to the browser then ending tag that Domino should generate for the center does not occur until it reaches a NON-passthru HTML line.

Example form:

. . . . . . . Centered Text

not centered passthru text

regular text not centered.

The html output would show:

            Centered Textnot centered passthru text

regular text not centered.

Anybody else see this issue?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Subject: centered text end does not end if pass-thru HTML is on next line

I contacted lotus tech support the other day about this issue (after spending a few hours trying to figure out if I was doing anything wrong which was causing the problem.) In my case, I’ve got right-justified text jsut before the passthru html. They’re gonna get back to me in the next few days to tell me whether or not it’s a bug (which it most surely is.) I’ll post the answer to the forum (assuming I remember).

Here is Lotus’s final response to this bug:

“Lotus has evaluated SPR #DHAN5QTMN5 which is titled “Text Property “Align Right” Does Not Work Properly in ND6 On the Web”, and has determined that it will not be addressed in this or any future releases. This may be due to the design scope of the product or technical barriers which prevent a fix. I do apologize for this inconvenience.”

Too bad, huh?
