Cause of this error: "Error: Cursor SQLCURSOR000000001 not open"

Sometimes we get this error "Error: Cursor SQLCURSOR000000001 not open" when running an "Enterprise Integrator" direct transfer activity.

What does this error mean, what causes it?

Hi Fan, That error is most likely coming from the back end database the Direct transfer is connecting to. Is there any more to the error? Like a SQLcode right before the above error? What are the 2 sides of the Direct transfer? Notes to Db2, Notes to Oracle, etc?

Method -Fetch- (-501)

Direct transfer activity, it will work for days then will end in an error, then it will work the next day.

Seems a new kinda error to me.

Is there any possibility if you change this activity from "Direct Transfer" to some other means from LEI/HEI end?

This will help in isolating the issue.

This error is occurring again, this is the entire error message

Error: Cursor SQLCURSOR000000001 not open., Connector 'JDE920', Method -Fetch- (-501)

Direct transfer is the best fit for moving the data from the iSeries to Notes, we have the "create target metadata" checked and the "overwrite existing data" checked.

We are transferring about 55,000 records, Running Enterprise integrator for Domino (r9)
