Cant delete mail from All Documents

When an user tries to delete a particular mail in his “All Documents” view, he gets the message “are you sure you want to delete…”? Pressing “ok” will only result in a cross in front of the mail.The mail is not deleted. When hitting F9 nothing happens. The mail in still there, not in the trash can but still in Inbox. The cross in front of the mail is gone.

How can this user (or me as admin) delete this message?

Check Application Properties (last tab) and see if “Allow Soft Deletions” is checked. Your symptoms indicate that it may be un-checked.

I am making these assumptions:

You are using an application based off an 8.5.1, not customized, Mail Template

You running in basic client mode (this would have to be or you would not see the red cross).

You selected the document and pressed the delete Key.

If the above assumptions are correct. Then I would like to know if the message you selected is a mail message, Calendar, todo, or other type of content. Look at the form item value using document properties and tell me what the value is.

Indeed, the user has hit “delete” and nothing happend.It is an email in the inbox.

If possible, can the one bad document be provided in a design copy of the mail file being used.

If the above is not possible can you at least provide a screen should of the document showing the red cross next it?

Also, whether or not you running in basic client or standard client mode.
