Cant' create Desktop policy

While all other policy settings work fine I always get an error when planning to create a new setting for a desktop policy.

The error message is always the same:

Field ‘Suloc’: Incorrect data type for operator or @funtion: Text expected.

Editing an older existing Desktop policy works fine, too.

We’re running servers with 8.51, 8.02 (windows server and z/OS) with adressbook design 8.51. But was the same with 8.02 addressbook

Any ideas. Not much to find searching here or a google on that topic.

Subject: Form is unchanged, but …

… good hint. We have made some minor changes to the Adressbook So maybe one of the fields that are used to calculate “SULoc” could be the reason.

Will check back with our developers.

Field ‘SuLoc’ corresponds to Smart Upgrade tracking.Check the design of your desktop setting form in your address book for any restriction for design elements update.

If possible delete desktop setting form and replace the design of address book.

Subject: Found it

The Field 'SuLoc’by default looks at column 3 of the Mail-In Databases view. Unfortunately we added a column 2 for an additional category.

Therefor it now read a column containing numbers instead of the text field with the mailin-db name.

Still wondering that IBM used a standard visibly view that makes such an important query!
