Can't create a calendar view because second column not duration

I created a standard view with the correct columns to be a calendar view. That is, first column is date/time sorted in assenting order. Second column is event duration in minutes. First two columns are hidden.

When I switch the view style to calendar and try to save it says, “Second column of Calendar Style View must be a number which is the duration of the entry.”

I read in an IBM article that you can set the duration column to zero for an all-day event so I set the second column formula to zero but got the same error. I’ve tried other values too but they give the same error".

Anybody got any hits about what might be wrong or what I should do to try to troubleshoot this further?

Thanks a bunch.

Subject: Okay, I solved it for myself … sort of

I deleted the duration column and then created a new one and now it works. So I guess the column design under the hood was screwed up. That’s the bad part of WYSIWYG design systems. When they go bad they are opaque. Good thing this doesn’t happen very often.

Peace,
