I’ve set up the Widget catalog and am able to add widgets in the Notes client. When I try to add a widget in iNotes it wont display. The only widgets I can see in iNotes are those specified in the inotes_config.xml file. I can’t add any listed in the catalog.
Does anyone have an idea on how to add widgets listed in the catalog to iNotes?
Thanks

Are you seeing a problem described below?
-
Edit the inotes_config.xml file to reference a widget catalog and category.
-
Restart the Domino Server if it is runnning.
-
Open iNotes via browser(Tested in Firefox and IE).
-
Right click on the widgets folder in the mail navigator and click the context menu “Browse Widgets Catalog”.
-
This will open a menu of choices from the appropriate category in the widget catalog. Select one of the widgets and click the “OK” button.
Bug: The selected Widget is never added to the iNotes widget folder. Also, the following exception appears on the server console:
[17F4:000C-0FD4] 02/02/2009 10:54:04 PM Illegal Arguments Exception - ShWidgets.cpp: 471 [/mail/sstrange.nsf/iNotes/Proxy/?OpenDocument&Form=s_WidgetProfileAction&PresetFields=Action;AddFromCatalog]
JCIK7NW6PW: Illegal Arguments Exception when adding widget from catalog has been fixed and I believe the fix is provided as part of 8.5 hot fixes.
If that’s not the case, make sure you have <toolboxCatalog…> defined right in the inotes_config.xml and iNotes only support web page type widgets.
Subject: No fixes available
I’ve just installed the Domino 8.5 IF3 package on my Windows 32 bit machine but the issue is still there.
I get exaclty that behaviour. No widgets can be added to iNotes using the catalog and the server reports the error you’re writing about.
Any idea ?
Subject: There’s now an SPR for this
Have the exact same issue here with iNotes and widgets. Opened a PMR with IBM, an SPR has been created so feel free in getting yourself added to it.
Thanks!
