I just implemented mail journaling a few days ago to comply with SEC email retention regulations. Everything seems to be working okay, but I’m seeing a strange message in our logs.
We’re using periodic rollover every day. At 7pm each night, I start seeing the following message in the logs:
Router: Cannot rollover journal db, current db will still be used. Reason: File already exists
This occurs every five minutes from 7pm until midnight. After midnight, the rollover works and the message stops until 7pm the next evening.
I don’t know if there is a setting to control when the rollover process occurs, but this is annoying to me.
Anyone have any thoughts? Am I too picky b/c I’m annoyed by this?
