"Cannot locate Default Form" when openning any POP message

I’m pretty new to Lotus Notes but this problem really makes me crazy!

I have new Notes 8.5 installation on two desktops: XP and Vista. Domino Server is version 8 (I think)

I’ve created POP account to read email messages from older POP3 server.

All POP received email messages can not be displayed, every time I double click on message I get “Cannot locate Default Form” error message.

I’ve seen somewhere on forum that in Designer I should set “Default Form” property but I can not find that one in Notes 8.5. Is that applicable only to older versions?

Please help, I’m loosing my mind…

create an empty db an paste the doc into the db and upload here.

Subject: I’ve found the “default form” property!

I’ve compared design of newly created database and old mail db and I saw that new database indeed has “Message” form set as default form.

Then I went thru Designer manual and I was able finally to locate “Default Database Form” property.

Now POP email opens properly in mail database.

Subject: Wow with new, emty database it works!

I can see email message content in preview window and I can open it!

Is this mean that my email database on server is somehow damaged or missing some forms?
