Cannot Invoke program when attempting to launch/open PDF in email

We’re having an issue where a user cannot open/launch an attached PDF from a document. Getting error cannot invoke program.

They are able to save the attachment and double-click and it opens in Acrobat, the file permissions in windows are set to open PDFs with Acrobat, but for the life of me we cannot get the user to open/launch the file from within the notes email.

I’ve tried re-installing/repairing Acorbat, and even tried a re-install of Notes over the top of what they’ve got. No dice, it’s almost like Notes is looking for the program to run (Acrobat) but cannot find it?

(I believe) it is some kind of registry thing. You’ll probably need to unistall both Acrobat and Notes and install both fresh. I’d recommend that after unistalling and before re-installing, you make sure that everything related to the prior installs is removed (partially full directories, left over files, etc), then try again.

We run into this every once in a while and re-installing Notes seems to do the trick.
