Can we use NotesUIWorkspace.UrlOpen Method to POST data?

Hi:

I have a manual LotusScript agent that sends data parameters to a DotNet Aspx web page via the UrlOpen method of the NotesUIWorkspace class. (Note: This is in the Notes client.) The simple example below shows how I am currently sending data (using a GET, basically):

Dim ws as New NotesUIWorkspace

call ws.UrlOpen(“http://fsserver/fsdir/DocProfile.aspx?lname=Doe&fName=John&City=Boston”)

This works fine, but the data I will be passing via the URL can potentially be quite large. I therefore want to pass the data parameters via the POST method to avoid the restriction on the URL size limit. Is it possible to use UrlOpen method to do this? Or is there any other way to to do this in LotusScript?

Look at the WinHTTP COM object from MS (windows only). Should be plenty of VB, VBScript examples on msdn you can port over to LS. Also… you could review the java.net classes and use LS2J to post your data. Good luck…
