yes, it’s easy. Just install a proxysoftware to respond on port 25 and forward the mails to Domino.

here’s one http://assp.sourceforge.net/

I am currently finding that spam which I receive has been blocked by the various DNSBLs soon after I receive it. What is happening is that the spammer sends a number of spam from a given server, some of which are sent to the DNSBL, at which point they are blacklisted there.

Greylisting will help here because after the timeout occurs and the triplet is accepted, the DNSBLs will have received the spam. The problem however, is (see other thread below) that the retry time of the sender may be too long and the delay in receiving mail is not acceptable to the recipient.

A proposed solution is to chain together two SMTP MTAs, the “inner” one being your existing MTA (e.g. Domino). The “outer” MTA does nothing other than act as a relay but retries frequently. The “inner” server must do the greylisting. Thus the email is delivered to the “outer” MTA which queues it. Once the embargo time expires, and the “outer” MTA retries, the message is immediately delivered.

Given that Domino doesn’t implement greylisting, this would require installation of two additional mail relays, “outer” and “middle” MTAs, with the “middle” MTA doing the greylisting and the “outer” MTA doing just relaying with frequent retries.
