Can not open documents in r5 client

Hi everybody

I have a database on a domino 5 server.

I made some changes in design with a Notes 6 client (But not using new R6 features). Now i can not open the documents any more with an R5 client. It shows the sandclock for a time and then nothing happens, no error-message, nothing. The documents just do not open.

When i run the debugger a blank grey window opens and the status line says “insufficient memory”.

What happens here??

No idea whats happening (it should work), but one workaround is to reopen and save all design documents in an R5 designer again…

Typically, in a migration, it goes:

Servers

Workstations

Applications.

So you’ll just have to get your application designers to use the “oldest” version for a while.

(If its any consolation, I’d to use the 4.6x client for years for a large customer…)
