Hello All,
Running Domino 6.5 and want to entirely eliminate the sending of NDR’s to sending users.
Is this possible?? I have already enabled the SMTP Advanced setting for User lookup in the directory, but I still get a Unknown User 550 error message back as a sender.
Secondly, is there a way to mask the internal IP of my “real” Domino Server that user’s see in the NDR??
Thanks for any help.

Sure; just go to the Configuration doc, Router/SMTP; Advanced; Controls tab, and set the Hold undeliverable mail field to Enabled. This will cause all NDRs to stall in mail.box until you do something with them. If you choose to ignore them, setting an autopurge of unmodified docs after a day or two in mail.box’s replication properties will keep things from ballooning quite so fast.

Bruce,
Thank you. That did the trick…now we need to keep on top of either the purges or review for legitimate misstypes of addresses.
Thanks…the less the enemy knows the better!
