Can I use Notes v7 on Domino 6.5.4?

Hi All,I am using Lotus Notes v7 on Domino v6.5.4 and got the following error message when accepting a meeting invitation:

An error occurred while saving: You are not authorized to perform that operation.

After recieving this message, i logged into Lotus Notes v6.5.4 and was able to accept the meeting invitation without error.

Has any seen this before? Or, did i jump the gun here and not supposed to use Lotus Notes v7 with Domino v6.5.4?

Hamid,

It is recommended that you upgrade the Domino server to a new version before the clients. This is because there may be features in the new client that are unsupported by the older Domino version. In your case I would suspect that that is the cause of your problem.

…but IBM supports NotesV7 on Dominov6.x-servers.I´ve been using that combination for months now with almost no problems at all.

Can you try the following for me?

Setup a meeting from a v6x client and invite a v7 client user and then have that user accept the meeting. This is where i am getting and the error message i mentioned in the original post.

Perhaps you can post your result.
