Can I Still Obtain a Trial Ver of Designer 6?

My organization is still on the Notes 6 platform, and they don’t give Designer access to end-users. However, I am a Certified Lotus Specialist R4 (I know old) but I’d like to use Notes 6 (have had some hands on development) to create a form. Don’t want to install Notes 7. Just want to be able to see what I can creat in Notes 6 before I start yapping about creating a new form to all. Therfore, does anyone know I can still obtain a version of Notes Designer 6? If I can create what I’d like to do, I can then take the finished product and convince Mgmt to allow me to have access to Designer 6

The current trials offered by IBM are available under the Downloads link on the left here on developerWorks. direct link –

There were numerous enhancements to Domino Designer and app dev options in 6, so you should encourage your organization to take advantage of these.

Unfortunately, there is no trial offered for 6.0.x or 6.5.x End of service for 6.0.x (NOT 6.5.x) is April 2007 – please see public TechNote 1221590

You can try using the trial version of Domino Designer 7 as there are no ODS changes from 6 to 7. You can also make note of the new additions to 7 from Domino Designer Help so you can avoid these features. Your company may have a contract that entitles all users to Domino Designer, but IT policies may restrict who can make design changes. You may need to convince your organization that you cannot make changes to current production databases based on the server create new databases/create new replicas restrictions and your access level to the production databases - you may want to show them the information from catalog.nsf to prove your access level.

Another option would be to download and show something from openntf.org or other sites - may want to post a new query to get suggestions.
