In the example for “relative path” where the address book is specified, it shows “subdirectory\addressbook1 and subdirectory\addressbook2”
I try: “names.nsf and personal_nabs\jsmith.nsf” and the Domino server is looking for the above as a whole file name instead of the two separate address books. I substitute , ; : & for “and” … no luck.
Even though both address books are on the same server, in the server field above it I also try server1/org and server1/org … no luck
Subject: Can I push both the company directory AND the personal NAB (contacts) to a user’s Blackberry?
The blackBerry is typically setup for one user with one mail file, one calendar and one address book.
There is a workaround to this. Use the main directory as the user’s local directory and then have the user synch up his local names.nsf with his mail file. Lotus has built an agent to do this (actions, synchronize address book) - problem is users need to do this manually to keep this up to date.
Subject: RE: Can I push both the company directory AND the personal NAB (contacts) to a user’s Blackberry?
In the “PIM Sync” section of the Blackberry Manager, I see the following sections for each user:Message Filters
Takss
Message Settings
Memos
Address Book
The last 2 are the only ones that allow a server and nsf file to be specified.
If I specify the user’s mail file, as you suggested, in the Address Book section, I get the local contacts but then what about the company directory (names.nsf on the server)?
If I specify the user’s mail file in the memos section and the company directory in the address book section, I still don’t get the company directory.
Subject: WARNING: Do not populate the memo field in the PIM Sync section of the BES Mgr
The configuration I described in my post above has caused the user’s personal NAB entries to populate the company directory.
So now I have to search through the directory and delete the “personal entries”, nevermind the fact that this person still can’t get both the company directory and his personal NAB on his berry.
