Can a LotusScript List object be dumped into a NotesItem?

Hi all,

I searched the designer help and the forum and have not been able to find an answer to this question.

I know for a fact that I can take an array and dump it into a NotesItem using LotusScript extended syntax like so:

Dim array(3) as String

…

populate array

…

doc.ArrayField = array

Can I do the same with a List object? something like this?

Dim mainList List as String

…

populate List

…

doc.ListField = mainList

Is this possible, or do the listtags make this not possible?

Can anyone enlighten me? I’m new to lists, but I find them very useful.

I have not figured out a way using extended syntax, but you can do it with a forall loop and drop it into another array and then use your extended sytax on the array.

Tom,

Thanks for the response.

What you described is what I was afraid of. And with what I am trying to do, it doesn’t make sense to create a List AND an array. So I’ll just stick with using the array…

thanks again.
