I have changed the mail template’s calendarprofile form such that:
Message Marking → Recipients (all 3 options) are checked
Cleared all letterheads, and added a custom one
I then saved this form, and refreshed the design of the user mail files.
When the users open their mails, they find that:
The Message Marking → Recipients options are indicated as checked, but not taking effect
The one and only letterhead left is also not selected, ie not taking effect
Seems to me like those preference changes I made cannot take effect until the user clicks on Tools → PReferences, opens the preference, and click OK (even when no change is made).
Why is this so? Anyway I can “force” this change to all users?
What about the “Show Mail Thread” option?
These are new features which I wish to push to my users withouth them having to go the Tools → Preferences and clicking on OK for these to take effect
Regardless of your specific changes, the calendar profile is, as you said a PROFILE document. That means that changing the design of the form that shows this profile doc doesn’t change anything in the profile document itself until people indeed open and save their profile. If you want to make changes to the peoples profiles directly, you’ll have to write an agent which opens all mail databases, creates a handle to the calendarprofile and then changes the values in this profile to the preferred values.

Do you have any ready-made code which I can copy and paste to get this to work? Sorry, Im a newbie when it comes to apps dev.
