I am a working with a user who has reported the following problem since upgrading from Notes 6.5.4 to 8.5: She schedules meetings through Notes Calendar, and invitees respond to say they will or will not attend. When she goes to look at the invitee status through Calendar in Client, it shows “no response” for everyone except the chair, even though those people have responded.
Note that she has not deleted any of the responses. Also, she can see meeting responses in iNotes (she is on the 8.5 template as well) but not in Client.
I also see “no response” when viewing her calendar through Domino Administrator.
In this situation some of the invitees were external and non-Notes users. I was able to track down, using properties inspector, that the one with “no response” (who had actually ‘accepted’) was missing calendaring entries fields (e.g. AppointmentType, Chair, StartDateTime, etc). Another give-away was that the icon type for the message did not resemble “Accepted” (i.e. a check mark). Now I have to hunt down where along the way it happened.
This usually happens when Notes is unable to match the senders address (the person who responded to your meeting) with any of the invitees that are stored on the meeting document itself. We call these “party crashers”. The UI typically shows the party crasher’s role as “Unknown”
We’ve got the same problem in an 8.5.1 FP4 environment, the invitees are all internal, the ApptUIDs all match, it’s not a broadcast invite, and the acceptance notifications are sitting happily in the Chair’s Inbox, yet all except the declined entries are showing as “No Response”.
Subject: Same issue on 8.5.3 FP3. Did anyone find a solution?
Good Day,
We are experiencing this issue on Domino 8.5.3 FP3 (client same version) for several users.
We have checked the responses, UNIDS and other stuff which could cause this but this looks all fine. For users who accepted the status shows no response and for the users who declined, Decline is shown as a status (like it should be)
