Hi All,
One of our customers came to me this morning saying that since upgrading to 8.5.1 from 8.5, the appointment calendar view we’d written for them was no longer working in the same way. Entries are grouped together (there can be multiple appointments for the same time slot) and in previous versions, Notes would display the time slot as a categorization above the entries. I have verified that in 8.5.1, the time slot categorization is no longer there - just a blank line. Switching ‘Show Time Slots’ on and off doesn’t make any difference.
This link shows a comparison between exactly the same view on the different client versions:

I’ve checked the 8.5.1 help (Lotus Domino Designer Basic User Guide and Reference > Application Design > Designing views > Creating a calendar view) and in the Other Options section, the help suggests that with the “Group entries together by time slot” option selected the view should behave in the way it did previously - there’s even a graphical example showing the time slot headings.
I haven’t been able to verify whether this did work in 8.5 but it’s certainly an issue in 8.5.1.
To placate the customer for now, I’m going to add a column showing the start time of the appointment, but if anyone can tell me whether this is a bug or whether it’s a new configuration option I’ve overlooked, I’d be very grateful.
Many thanks,
Emily Graham.
