I have 2 dates ,1)user request date and 2) IT request date.user request date is the date when user creates a request and IT request date is the date when IT creates an IT request for corresponding user request.
I have to calculate the IT reponse time in mins and have to show in a view.
I have calculated this as follows:
(@Date(IT request date) - @Date(user request date))/60
(@Time(IT request date) - @Time(user request date))/60
It works fine but the point is that may be user request date is a holiday or IT request date is a holiday or the time when user creates request or IT creates request is after or before working hours or may be there are a no of holidays between these 2 dates so the response time does not display the correct response time, that is, it should not include non working days or non working hours. so I have decided that I should create a calendar where the IT person can edit holidays any time for an year and the view in which response time is calculated access this calendar and subtracts the non working days + hours from the response time.
Now my question is that how can i create such a calendar as I never worked on calendar thing? plus is there any other easy and appropriate option for solving the above problem instead of creating calendar??
