I have a user (the president of the company of course) that says that calendar appointments are being deleted from his calendar. He is not deleting the appointment. His assistant is not deleting the appointments. They just are going away. Is there anyway to trace or track the deletions? So I can tell who or how the appointments are being removed from his calendar?

You can check the properties of the database through the Notes Client and see the user activity. Also, is this person using a PDA (Palm, Pocket PC, iPaq)? There might be a problem with the synchronization utility on the workstation.

Also make sure that when any of those users are deleting meeting notices from their inbox (to clean them out) that they are clicking “Remove” and not “Delete” when prompted or it will permanently remove the meeting from the database. I know they both said they do not delete them, but they may not know that they do. Either way, it’s best to confirm what they do and how they do it before looking further.
