CAA - Including a Java Runtime Environment?

When I go through the HCL Client Application Access 3.0 documentation at:

https://help.hcl-software.com/caa/3.0/index.html

which references:

https://help.hcl-software.com/caa/3.0/topics/appacc_install_mac_t.html

it says:

HCL Client Application Access Installer.pkg does not contain a JVM or spelling checker - the operating system spell check engine and JVM installed on the system are used.

As Oracle has started to charge for Java Runtime Environments

https://www.oracle.com/java/java-se-subscription.html

It would be better if HCL packaged a JRE with CAA, so that we do not have to pay for an additional license, to get it to run. I believe the Notes client does this, but not apparently CAA. There is also the question of whether or not new Oracle JREs have been tested, might break CAA.

Are there plans by HCL to address this?

Hi Paul Jones

Thanks for posting this question in the forum. We are going to check this with our product management and will get back to you.

Hi Paul Jones

We did received update from our product management team that it will be considered in V12. Hence kindly wait for the product release but we do not have any tentative dates for the same.
