A “Send” button in Form A will send an email with the button by Lotus Script.
i create another doc to actually store a button “Acknowledgement”. Then in my code just append to the richtext item in the email, the RT item from the stored document that contains the prescripted email.
now, recipient can get the email with button.
my problem is how the recipient click the “acknowledgement” button to update the each particular document(which is send by sender) status?
anybody can help me to code the “acknowledgement” button?

Subject: button problem, again
You need to write an extra item into the document you mail, that contains the document unique ID of the document you want the button to update. If there are multiple replicas that aren’t clustered, you might also want to write the server and filepath into the memo document (so that you don’t cause a replication conflict by updating status in a server that doesn’t have an up to date copy of the document).
Your code will read these values from the current UIdoc.Document… If you managed to write code to mail the acknowledgement button, I think you will be able to manage the rest.
