Business cards - info missing after upgrade

Previous configuration: Sametime Entry 7.5 on Domino 7.0.3 running on WIntel 32-bit platform (W2K3SP2)

New configuration: Sametime Entry 8.5 on Domino 8.5.1 FP3 running on WIntel 64-bit platform (W2K8R2)

Both configuration: Notes Client 8.5.1 FP3 on WinXPSP2

The sever has been completely rebooted multiple times.

In the previous configuration the business cards were functioning as expected: all the specified information (via ST Admin) and photo’s were showing correctly.

In the new configuration none of the information is displayed, except for the user name.

There were some issues with recent contacts and refreshing the BC information, but with the C:\Program Files\IBM\Lotus\Notes\framework\rcp\plugin_customization.ini file add the following

com.ibm.rcp.bizcard/disable.content.for.NotesContacts=true that problem was solved.

The URL to test server response

http://server/servlet/UserInfoServlet?operation=3&userid=&setid=1 is also returning the specified information (even including pictures information).

The business card information is not showing when hovering people in the embedded ST buddy list, but strangely enough that information shows up when hovering connected people from mail or other notes applications.

Any idea what’s going wrong ?

Somebody posted a hot-fix for a similar problem, but that was for Sametime Standard version.

Does that also applies for Sametime Entry ?

And where can find/download that hotfix ?

Is the ST server going against an LDAP or Domino Directory? Do you have any issues with mailbox livename awareness? If so then it might be an issue with the ST server. Does the business card just take awhile to load in the embedded buddylist or it doesn’t load at all? Thanks for your time!

Sorry for my late response, but I just returned from holiday.

=> Domino Directory

Do you have any issues with mailbox livename awareness? If so then it might be an issue with the ST server.

=> if you mean that the awareness icon turns green in the inbox list, then the answer is no issues, the ST indicators function as expected whether it’s system db or own developed db.

Hi, I appear to have exactly the same problem.

The card info does not load at all when hovering over in the buddy list or the mail presence status. You have the name of the user in bold and that is it. No photo, or business card info such as address phone number, or the presence status.

The photo is missing in chats also.

The info does not appear if you wait.

The problem affects all users (small system).

All services appear to be running correctly on Sametime.

Subject: Abbreviated Name as Key?

In the business card that pops up, is it displaying the Abbreviated Name of the user? I’ve just discovered this to be key to the correct displaying of more information in the business card pop up - it’s like the common name isn’t found, so it just shows you the name in the card. The mail template actually uses a column value to present the availability icon, whilst displaying the common name. Have your developer check that out.
