Hi to all. One of our users sent an email thru ‘Blind Copy’ to a large mailing group but when we opend the email the blind copy section does not show the mailing group. Why is this possible? Most of the time it is reflected to on the subject whether To, Cc or Bcc.
If you are expecting users (mail reciepents) to see who all has been Bcced. then it may not be possible as it is hidden, however the sendor can see the Bcc field.
If he is usng Notes R5, then he need to open the mail in the edit mode, and if this is R6, then the Bcc field will show up.
Recipients are only allowed to see their own name in the BCC field. If a group is used, then you see nothing or just your own name (I can’t remember which, in that case).
Certainly, you cannot see the group nor the other individual names in the BCC field.
Field BlindCopyTo is a virtual field created by the router when the message is delivered in the mail database of the recipient and that this one is neither in field SendTo nor in field CopyTo.
It is thus normal that it contains one name, that of the final recipient.
