Back in December of 2004, Peter Presnell reported this problem:
I have an application that launches a frameset. The right frame displays a view. The application works fine and then suddenly for a single user instead of displaying a view a blank (grey) page starts to display instead of the view each time the database is opened. I have tried turning the “restore as last viewed” off/on and deleting the database icon from the workspace, but I still get the same blank page each time the database opens.
Other users reported the same problem. In April of 2005, Michael E Markham wrote:
I spoke with the developers at Lotusphere who swore up and down that this is a known problem that was fixed in 6.02.
I did a search on support and failed to find a SPR for this problem.
Here it is March of 2007, I’m using 7.02 and I’m still seeing the problem. It’s annoying the heck out of my users. I know that I can “correct” it by resaving the frameset every few days, but needing to do that is just sad.
Does anyone else still experience this? Does Lotus still think that this is fixed? More importantly, did anyone come up with a permanent work-around?
