Hello,
I’ve run into inconsistencies with a blacklist I’ve created. I was using a few of the country IP lists found on blackholes.us. However instead of performing lookups in numerous country lists , I downloaded the entire country list and added the records to an internal dns server thus making a single list to check. I then pointed Domino to check the internal blacklist I created. Since I’ve started doing lookups on an internal list, I’ve noticed numerous messages getting by that should have been caught. When I was doing lookups on china.blackholes.us, it caught everything it should have. Now, some of them are getting by even though I can perform my own lookup and see that it should have failed. The Notes log shows that the internal blacklist is working by rejected numerous addresses in china, korea, etc. But why would some start getting through my internal list when I’m finding that IP is in the list? When I do a manual lookup, the response is very fast, so I dont believe it’s timing out or anything. Any ideas?
