I have several POP/IMAP users with big databases (1,5GB) but inside them there is only a few files. Database usage is shown 95% full. How to fix that and why is this happening at all?

If %used is at 95% then there is NOT alot of unused space. Anything over 90% used can be considered to be efficient. Anything under 90% used and you should run compact to cleanup white space.

I have managed to shrink the databases… After runing “fixup -j” on those databases which were reported as 95% full and using compact -B switch. The database got shrunk to normal size from 1,8GB to 1GB.
Why does it report wrong usage % is a mistery to me, but if someone could tell me this would be appreciated so that I could prevent this kind of behaviour in the future…
