Bi-Weekly Scheduled Agent - Is it possible?

When creating a scheduled agent there isn’t an option to run it Bi-Weekly. And, creating 2 of the same agent and have them run monthly (2 weeks apart) won’t work because I need them to run on a specific day of the week.

One of my ideas is to create an agent that is scheduled to run weekly & program it to call the other agent that actually does the work every other week. I’ve got a couple of ideas how to do this and I’m not locked into using Formula Language or LotusScript but I thought I would throw this out there to see if any of you have some brilliant ideas on how to accomplish this.

Thanks in advance.

Robert,

Indeed, there is not perfect flexibility in the scheduling of agents.

Just schedule it weekly and have your code start by checking whether it’s an even or odd week. Off the top of my head, I’d take the number of days since Jan1 and divide by 7, stripping the remainder. Then I’d do modulo 2 and get back either a 1 or a 0. If 1, then run. If 0, then don’t run.

It feels inelegant …
