What is the best way to compact mailfiles for users ?
-
Everyday with compact -b (Then the user asks why his mailfile wont get smaller after deleting mails)
-
Everyday with compact -B (Not recommended for every day but the only solution for recovering unused space)
What do you use ? Any tips ?
Thanks

Subject: Re: Best way to compact mailfiles ?
I use compact -B -S10 daily to compact all mail databases that have at least 10% unused space. Then compact -B weekly (sunday) to reduce space every databases.
Use program document in domino directory to run automatically.
Subject: I’d also do a -c every now and then
It helps solve small corruption issues, so I’d run that once a week instead of the -B option. Or once a month, for that matter.
