BES 4.1.6 and Domino 8.0.2 - I'm having problems

I’m brand new to BES, but had some help setting it up from a fellow admin (who uses it with GroupWise). It’s up and running and works quite well…for about 24 hours. After that, the BES agent process seems to disappear, and mail stops routing to the BBs. I’m not sure where to start looking to nail down the problem but I thought I’d ask if anyone else has run into this issue. The only resolution is to kill the Domino server (it will not shut down, I’ve waited 45 minutes) and start it again.

We use version 8.0.1, of Domino, with BES 4.1.6. 8.0.2 is not supported.

A very good alternative to BES is System Seven made my Seven Networks of California.

Their application natively supports Mail, Calendaring & Contacts for the following mail systems:

BES does have memory leak issues. Make sure you’re not running it on the main production server.

Also, check with Blackberry as to which version was the first to support Domino 8. I think you might need to do an upgrade.
