Hi all;
This is a “worn thin” topic for many of us proud Barracuda users, but in the most recent Notes client versions (I think post 6.5.3), a bug was introduced that affects the Notes client’s ability to properly render the HTML table included in the “daily” spam quarantine inbox summary (including version 7.0.2).
When a user views the mail file using iNotes (i.e. using a web browser), the report looks fine since the HTML table included in the summary report is rendered with the web browser’s engine (Firefox, IE) with no problem.
Barracuda has been in contact with Lotus, and this is apparently a known issue. But, I have not seen any mention of it in the fix lists, planned/unplanned/etc. and would like to know if any movement is happening on this issue from the IBM/Lotus side or whether anyone else is getting impatient.
This only happens when you are running a newer version of Notes client and the newer versions of Barracuda (Barracuda late v3.3-v3.4.x current generated tables display incorrectly in newer Notes clients whereas older Barracuda v3.3.02x for example do not show the problem).
It is clearly an interoperability problem, but Barracuda has firmly placed the ball in Lotus’s court apparently but the problem persists.
