is the fulltext indexer not working correctly? I rebuilt the index for several times - the results stayed as bad as before…
fuzzy and word variants are turned off, or course…
e.g. “@modulo” finds a lot entries with “@minute”, but none with “@modulo”
???

Subject: Designer 6.5.1 I get 5 Results w/ the help entry for @Modulo at top. All others contain the text.
Subject: I get none with @modulo - it starts with @Minute
and now I have rebuilt the ftindex several times - stays worse!!!

I already deleted it via (“delete” ftindex) in the database properties box: The folder diesappeared - but after creating the next ftindex: same effect.
In the end I downloaded the help file from this web site, first delete ftindex, then the old help file, paste the new one:
NOW EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE :-))))
but I’m curious what makes this effect…

Given that replacing the old help file with a fresh one fixed the problem, I’d guess that there was something wrong with your copy of the file. Not much of an explanation, I suppose, but it does sound like the problem was the data, not the processing.
Subject: bad search results in designer’s help
Hmmm. I can’t reproduce that. When I search for @modulo, I get @modulo-related results.
Subject: RE: bad search results in designer’s help
are you also working with 6.5.1?
Subject: RE: bad search results in designer’s help
Nope, just 6.5.
