We are looking at installing a new phone system and management would like to receive the voicemails in our inboxes (which is currently not happening). Is there documentation somewhere that would explain what software/connections/etc. I would need to make this happen.

You need Universal Communications from Avaya. Nothing extra is needed on the Domino side. Contact your Avaya business partner or account executive.

No, you do set this up via your Avaya admin interface, so their voice mail messages are forwarded by vm system to their Notes mail boxes as notification i.e. “You’he got new vm” in subject line and voice mail will be attached as file I believe you have to do this for every individual separatelly

I’m sorry I don’t understand your response. So, they don’t need the SMTP gateway IP address – what exactly will they need from me in order to get this programmed correctly?

Start with a phone call. Tell them you want to implement DUC (Domino Unified Communications) for your Avaya solution and they’ll take it from there.
Honest, call your rep and they’ll get it started. I just had a similar conversation with IBM as we’re considering switching to VOIP and are in the middle of a vendor selection. DUC came up and IBM told me to , “Call the vendor” and they’ll take it from there.

Were you able to use Lotus DUC with your Domino for iSeries? I have been told that this is not supported. I have too much invested in Domino for iSeries to change platforms. Please let me know if you were able to make Lotus DUC work with your Domino for iSeries.
