Automatically deleting dead mail from Domino Mail.box

Does anyone know if it is possible to set up a rule or something similar on a Domino server that automatically deletes dead or junk mail form the servers mail.box after a period of time.I have looked around and have no tbeen able to find anything. The server at my workplace isn’t exatly a beast and needs to be cleared quite frequently. As you can imagine it is annoying to have to manually sift through all the junk and delete it.

I would of thought this problem would have a simple solution, but obviously not!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben

Easiest way is to open the replication settings for the mail.box database and select the ‘Space Savers’ option. You can then set the ‘Remove Documents Not Modified in the last xx days’ option. To be safe you could set it to something like 7 days.

Hi,

There is a database/agent in the Sandbox which does this for you. You will set the schedule when dead mails are being removed. As well can you get a mail with a log (what mails have been deleted).
