Auto scripts start-n-kill on 1st time 6.0.1 AIX 5.2

I’ve loaded Domino 6.0.1 on a new pSeries running AIX 5.2. I was able to config the server via remote Admin client. When I run the server it does the following…

02/09/2004 14:54:11 Begin scan of databases to be consistency checked

02/09/2004 14:54:11 End scan of databases: 4 found

02/09/2004 14:54:12 Server started on physical node ngk6c3

02/09/2004 14:54:12 An Adminp request has been submitted to update port inform

ation in the server document

02/09/2004 14:54:12 The Console file is /notesServer1/IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT/co

nsole.log

02/09/2004 14:54:12 Console Logging is DISABLED

02/09/2004 14:54:44 Database Server started

/notesServer1/NW745761.sh[2]: 17992 Killed

/notesServer1/X5145982.sh[2]: 16202 Killed

…therre is a vmstat 60 2 that is started as well. I doubt this is normal operating procedure. What going on and how can I correct it?

thanks!

I have just seen similar issue on a 6.5 server on AIX 5.2.

There is a technote that relates to this issue, 1112715. This suggests that bos.mp64 should be at least 5.2.0.11 version. After a recent AIX rebuild, the bos.mp, bos.mp64 and bos.up filesets were 5.2.0.18 which is the latest version available. After this Domino servers always got stuck in this create process-kill process loop.

Going back to 5.2.0.14 fixed it for us. Looks like a regression in one of those filesets (or one of their dependents).

I believe if you are using SSH client and try to launch domino through the foreground, lots of sh scripts cannot run.

to solve the problem, launch domino through the backgound

run the

./server_start
