Auto-generate the date

Hi,

How to i get the date of document send automatically? Mean when i click on the send button, the date will auto capture the date of the document send? Once i send the document is actually automatically save. so when i open up the document in an email it will have the date of the document send at the date field? And the date field cannot be edited. It is a compute field.

Create a computed date-time field and put this as the formula:

@if(@isdocbeingmailed;@now;@return(@thisvalue))

Hi, sorry for my late reply.

By using your code i still can’t get the date automatically. Plus in my doc i have alot of date to be fill because the form is send out and received by others. Then the othes have to send out too… so the field where they send out have to be of different date… Any Clue??
